In the HyBoost project, Ricardo, Ford Motor Company, Control Power Technologies (CPT) and the European Advanced Lead Acid Battery Consortium (EALABC) demonstrated a concept they termed “intelligent electrification”. version of its vehicle (a 2009 Ford Focus) but with fuel economy and CO 2 emissions approaching those of a Prius.

Story and photos by Kay Crow [Go to the link for viewing story & photo] Friday January 23 brought the “Spirit of DC,” a Prius Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vechicle (PHEV) to Groveland’s Tioga High School. His 2005 Toyota PRIUS PHEV carries 20 12-volt gel batteries in the battery pack.

See below: "EVJerry" Asher brought the "Spirit of DC" Plug-In Toyota Prius to visit the Las Vegas Electric Vehicle Association (LVEVA) on Monday, November 24th. Jerry also demonstrated additional open source CANView software menus on the Prius touch screen display panel that added enhanced instrumentation to the vehicle.
