At this point, no one is wondering whether EVs are here to stay, but how soon will we get rid of petrol vehicles? In fact, before burning petrol, most vehicles ran on electric batteries. This prototype uses a lead-acid mixture. There were no recharging stations, so batteries needed to be replaced much more often.

The lead acid version is priced at 52 K. This leads to my next hypothesis about the Click battery: it is most likely LTO chemistry. This makes fast recharging possible and provides high currents when needed. There is a low speed model, Zepop, which looks very much like the SB Tek model. Unofficially it has a 1 kW motor.

The hybrid models available today use lead-acid ornickel-metal hydride batteries that are are proven, reliable, and fairlycheap, but their limited storage capacity means that the cars’ driving rangeusing electricity alone is short. Witha 60-mile range, most felt the need to recharge after 30 miles or so.

The four-door sedan will deliver 40 miles on a charge; a small gasoline engine will recharge the battery as it approaches depletion, extending its range by as much as 200 miles. 80 miles was the range of the EV1 with Lead Acid batteries, that GM tried to use because they wanted the project to fail. check your facts.
