Japan has a 2035 deadline. Scrappage schemes . The OECD has conducted analysis on the components of effective ‘scrappage schemes’. We can’t expect to import these vehicles from Japan, as is the case now, in the short term. . Transpower’s “Transforming our Transport System”, has useful insights on this question.
