Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Danish government regarding the popularization of the i-MiEV electric vehicle (EV) in Denmark. MMC is already selling the i-MiEV in Japan and in Hong Kong.

Separately, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) announced it will begin sales of its new-generation electric vehicle i-MiEV to individuals in Japan starting 1 April. MMC has been selling the i-MiEV mainly to corporations since July 2009. Nissan LEAF will also be exempt from the car-weight tax and the car-acquisition tax.

Mitsubishi to debut eight xEVs in next five years: hybrids, plug-in hybrids, EVs

Mitsubishi already sells the MiEV, an electric variant of their popular “i” kei-car, in Japan as well as Hong Kong and the UK, and plans to roll out MiEV sales to nineteen European countries starting this year ( earlier post ). The vehicle is expected to carry a MSRP of $29,995 before taxes and incentives.

Mitsubishi Motors to promote EVs with Hsinchu County in Taiwan

Mitsubishi Motors and the State of Hawaii to begin effort on EV infrastructure and deployment

Mitsubishi slashes prices of 2014 i-MiEV by 21% ($6K), offers more standard features

(MMNA) is reducing the price of the MY 2014 i-MiEV battery electric vehicle by 21% ($6,130) from the previous 2012 vehicle and delivering an expanded standard equipment package with it. After factoring in the Federal tax credit of $7,500, the net MSRP of the 2014 Mitsubishi i-MiEV drops down to only $15,495.
