As part of the culling, GM has the option to re-badge vehicles from the non-core brands, such as the Pontiac G8, Opel Insignia and Saturn Vue. Re-badging is a sensitive topic with the OEMs and their desire to highlight the differences among brands.

Plans Saturn Vue PHEV-10. Aims to get Saturn Vue on road in 2010; no production goal. Continues promotion and development of hydrogen as long-term strategy. Company says its focusing on gasoline and hydrogen. Blue Concept PHEV Van with diesel or hydrogen fuel cells and rooftop photovoltaic. No announced plans.

The four-door sedan will deliver 40 miles on a charge; a small gasoline engine will recharge the battery as it approaches depletion, extending its range by as much as 200 miles.
