Those lucky enough to be at the Mazda Raceway last weekend got to witness one of the most hotly anticipated debuts in motoring as the Fisker Karma plug-in extended range electric vehicle made its public driving debut. And the driver for the debut performance? None other than Fisker’s co-founder and COO Bernhard Koehler.

How many times have we read about various green car concepts that come to nothing? However, if you were expecting the Fisker Karma to be another example of a green car that got away, then it seems you got one wrong. The petrol engine then generates enough electricity to run for 250 more miles.

Theyre not trying to send men to the moon, theyre building an ELECTRIC CAR that uses a petrol motor they already make charging batteries supplied by LG all bolted into a vehicle platform they also already have in production.
