Open Source Civic EV Kit

After spending the past year and a half converting a Porsche 914 to an electric vehicle, I decided to expand my horizons by designing an open-source electric vehicle (EV) conversion kit for a commonly used car. There are already commercially available kits with excellent, detailed instructions for how to convert a vehicle.

If you build a car as a "kit car" with no real factory, then yes, it will never be an economic success. Teslas new Model S will be pure EV and will get 160 miles per charge for $49,900 and for a bit more $$ you can get the 230 or 300 mile battery options. You guys go ahead and buy your 40 mile per charge GM golf cart.
