IGCC plants gasify solid fuels into syngas, which then is used by a gas turbine combined-cycle system to generate electricity, providing a cleaner, economical coal-to-power option. Chemical scrubbers would filter out pollutants and would separate CO 2 , leaving a hydrogen-rich fuel to power the gas turbine combined-cycle system.

Florida legislature is about to ban offshore wind turbines in state waters, which wouldn’t be put there to begin with, to protect the beaches. It’s about to pass HB 1645 , which will ban wind turbines in state waters. Maine banned wind farms in its state waters in 2021 to “preserve state waters for recreation and fishing.”
