Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI) launched Project Get Ready , an initiative that emerged from its Smart Garage Summit in October 2008 and that is intended to help communities prepare for plug-in vehicles including full battery electric, plug-in hybrid electric, and converted hybrid or internal combustion vehicles.

A couple weeks ago, I read about the Rocky Mountain Institute’s gathering of EV interests in Portland for “Smart Garage.&# No one else can engage customers as to the reality of driving electrically like PIA. The Smart Garage concept has become RMI’s means to describe the integration of the grid and the electric vehicle.
