So if my math and estimates are close to correct, roughly 27 million households living in single-family homes cannot pull into their garage and plug in and charge an electric vehicle. In my own neighborhood I see several EV drivers with long cables from Level 2 chargers in the garage, and extension cords presumably from a 120 Volt outlet.
