Total combined Toyota and Lexus hybrid vehicle sales in the US have topped the one million mark, according to Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), USA. Overall, cumulative worldwide sales of Toyota and Lexus hybrids have exceeded 1.7 The HS 250h will be Lexus’ fourth hybrid and the most fuel-efficient vehicle in its lineup.

Toyota has unveiled the Sai compact luxury hybrid sedan in Japan ( earlier post ); the vehicle, based on the platform used for the Lexus HS 250h ( earlier post ), is planned to go on sale in Japan on 7 December. The monthly sales target for Japan is 3,000 units. The new platform was developed for medium/compact vehicles.
