The technology under development—based on the Control Architecture for Robotic Agent Command and Sensing ( CARACaS ) developed by NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL)—can be put into a transportable kit and installed on almost any boat. The new technology will allow the USVs to detect, deter or destroy attacking adversaries.
