Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) unveiled its next Mid-Term Business Plan (MTP). Additionally, MMC will move to make 50% of global sales an EV by 2030, and then 100% of the fleet electrified by 2035 (“EV” specifically refers to a blend of plug-in hybrids (PHEV), hybrids (HEV) and pure electrics (BEV)).

“Sales of EVs grew by an impressive 13.1 per cent while PHEVs grew by 8.9 According to stats compiled for the report by AutoGrab, which specialises in automotive industry data analytics, there were 4771 EVs offered for sale in March 2024 and 1393 sold. Just 297 PHEVs were offered for sale in March 2024 with 147 sold.

Among electric vehicles from automakers that report specific sales numbers for their EV models, the Toyota RAV4 Prime PHEV was tops in the US in 2021 with 27,3707 units sold. Another top-selling EV beyond Tesla models that is not included is the Jeep Wrangler 4xe PHEV, which likely saw 2021 sales of between 20,000-25,000.

I wish the thing was for sale as-is. Well they did give brief bursts of acceleration through the parking lot to show that it does have some Roadster goodness to it. But yes, there was no slalom to see how it handles the twisties. It is probably a real rocket compared to the Daimler version that will eventually show up.

The trouble is you then have to stop right away, which brings about some pretty strong regenerative braking action, something that Chrysler needs to work on before making the Circuit available for sale.
