The EPA rates fuel economy at 22 mpg city/29 highway/25 combined while running on 91 octane. mpg, with our overall economy coming in just above the EPA rating at 26.1

A five-speed manual is standard on the ES base model (but unavailable on the SE which we tested) with a small reduction in fuel economy to 33/41/36. Fuel economy numbers reported by Clean Fleet Report are non-scientific and represent the reviewer’s driving experience using the dash gauge computer.

With a fully charged battery, the XC60 Recharge can go 36 miles on pure electricity (speed-limited to about 80 mph) and has a 63 MPGe rating.
