The BYD ute will kick off with a plug-in hybrid system that pairs a 1.5-litre litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine with two electric motors, providing about 100km of EV range as well as the ability to travel further on petrol. Around 2025 there’s also a full battery electric version due.
