4,400 Chevrolet Volt Owners to be Eligible for Free Home 240V Charging Stations

To encourage consumer purchases of electric vehicles, federal grants and other funds have been awarded to install more than 15,000 home charge stations. The Chevrolet Volt is an electric vehicle with extended range capability, designed to drive up to 350 miles without stopping to recharge or refuel.

Proterra introduces 35-foot electric bus

This system can be recharged on-route in less than ten minutes at a 500kW charge rate. Proterra has demonstrated that this option can travel more 700 miles in 24 hours. Proterra was the only provider selected offering both long-range and fast-charge transit vehicles capable of recharging in less than 10 minutes.
