Extended-range electric vehicles — such as the Chevy Volt, which GM says will recharge in three hours — offer another route, adding a small gas engine to keep drivers from feeling stranded without access to fuel. Elon Musk is going to get about $5 of my hard earned money based on my fair share of taxes.
