It now has a sub-$40,000 offering with the entry-level Select Rear-Wheel-Drive trim as the number two electric SUV in the U.S. Discounts on the F-150 Lightning amounted to as much as $15,000. Ford has knocked down prices of the 2023 Mustang Mach-E, trimming thousands of dollars off of some trims in the lineup.

The tax credit also has MSRP limits, maxing out at $80,000 for vans, SUVS and pickups, and at $55,000 for other EVs. Interestingly, one PHEV still qualifies for the full tax credit, while others are eligible for the reduced credit. Only five BEVs remain eligible for the full $7,500 amount, though some include multiple configurations.
