With lower exhaust heat, heat efficiency was enhanced, and consequently, fuel efficiency was enhanced as well. In place of a spare tire, the Prius Plug-in carries a tire-sealing kit and inflator. The current Prius had received more wind tunnel hours of testing than any other Toyota in history.
