With lower exhaust heat, heat efficiency was enhanced, and consequently, fuel efficiency was enhanced as well. In place of a spare tire, the Prius Plug-in carries a tire-sealing kit and inflator. Toyota’s 36-month/36,000 mile basic new-vehicle warranty applies to all components other than normal wear and maintenance items.
