In Germany, renewable electricity generation will be 35 percent by 2020, and 50 percent by 2050. Why then do we not have the same clarity of goal for the electricity generating industry here in the USA? The same can be said for the electricity companies that generate power in the USA. We noted in December that the Society of Automotive Engineers, or SAE, was working to update standards for the interface between plug-in electric cars and the grid, and planned to agree on a set within months. And for this ecosystem to be robust, there must be commonality, especially when owners are plugging into the electrical grid.

I obtained more than the usual share of info simply from my own online sleuthing. The LEVC electric taxi might still be the only EV that both designed *and* produced on UK’s home turf. Electric bus deliveries were a bit down in 2020 though, with an estimated E-bus share of only ~1%. Also, Portugal is where Jose calls home.
