ExxonMobil made two oil discoveries at Fangtooth-1 and Lau Lau-1 in the Stabroek block offshore Guyana. The well was drilled in 6,030 feet (1,838 meters) of water and is located approximately 11 miles (18 kilometers) northwest of the Liza field. These new projects continue to drive investment in Guyana’s growing economy.

ExxonMobil announced an oil discovery at the Uaru-2 well in the Stabroek Block offshore Guyana ( earlier post ). miles (11 kilometers) south of the Uaru-1 well. In March 2021, ExxonMobil secured a sixth drillship, the Noble Sam Croft, for exploration and evaluation drilling activities offshore Guyana. Source: ExxonMobil.

ExxonMobil increased its estimate of the discovered recoverable resource for the Stabroek Block offshore Guyana ( earlier post ) to approximately 10 billion oil-equivalent barrels. miles (6 kilometers) east of Turbot-1 and was drilled in 5,928 feet (1,807 meters) of water by the Noble Tom Madden.
