Honda Manufacturing of Indiana, LLC (HMIN) began production of the natural gas-powered 2009 Civic GX at its plant in Greensburg, Indiana. First introduced in 1998, the Civic GX is the cleanest internal combustion vehicle certified by the EPA—90% cleaner than the average gasoline-powered car on the road today.

Honda unveiled the new 10th-generation 2016 Civic Sedan, slated for sale in the US this fall. Both engines are targeted to receive EPA highway fuel economy ratings in excess of 40 mpg. Civic Sedans for the North American market will be produced at the company’s Greensburg, Indiana and Alliston, Ontario, Canada auto plants.
