The thing that escaped my planning was in planning for the holes in the iron to match up with the hold downs for the batteries. I alternated the rows of angle iron (20g garage mounting material that is perforated at 1? intervals with a 5/16th hole) with rows of the bed so that I could mount 4X2 (8), next 3X2 (6), and finally the last 2 batts.,in

Conversions are mostly for the Prius, with a few for the Ford Escape/Mercury Mariner hybrid SUVs. The easiest conversions are for 2004-2008 Prius (not 2001-2003 Prius) and the Ford Escape/Mercury Mariner Hybrid. Both Toyota and Ford are now producing a few prototype conversions of their own Priuses and Escapes for research purposes.)

Chrysler isnt the first to realize that building an EV off of a Lotus platform makes for an incredibly fast and fun experience (see also: Tesla Roadster ) We escaped from the dark confines of Cobo Hall onto a decently sunny day and cruised along the river and past the Ren Cen, gunning the Circuit whenever possible.
