Competition is going to force them to produce a comfortable, usable, extended range EV for that price, and I will just have to wait. o well I guess they think all yanks hate diesels. hopefully diesel prices will dip below regular since they finished all of the low sulfur diesel producing plants. and 49 mpg.

For extended range I guess one could carry a fairly modest generator set in the trunk to avoid ever being stranded. No single vehicle does it all even in todays petrol world. use a long range solution.
