Friday November 22, 2013 Today I met a San Francisco cop. We chatted while he finished charging his LEAF at the recently installed Quick Charger at the new Market Street Whole Foods in San Francisco. But now they are back on the fence, holding off on getting a plug-in car. I''ll call him Officer Bill.

Coulomb Technologies unveiled San Francisco's first ChargePoint America charge stations yesterday in a Priority Parking lot along the Embarcadero. The charge stations and installations were paid for with federal stimulus and California Energy Commission grants won by Coulomb. Nissan LEAF buyers are excluded. But for whom?

The company hasn’t cited exact numbers of how many DC chargers it hopes to open, but 7-Eleven operates about 9,400 stores in the United States, and nearly 600 more in Canada.
