Conversions are mostly for the Prius, with a few for the Ford Escape/Mercury Mariner hybrid SUVs. If you want one now, know that youll spend far more than theyll cost when mass-produced. Though costs are now high, we believe automakers could sell PHEVs for only $2,000-$5,000 more than current hybrids.

The Maverick EcoBoost was not designed to be a heavy-duty work truck, but more for the weekend warrior/home owner doing DIY projects or used for active lifestyles for activities such as biking and kayaking. Because of this we don’t address issues such as long-term reliability or total cost of ownership.

Chrysler isnt the first to realize that building an EV off of a Lotus platform makes for an incredibly fast and fun experience (see also: Tesla Roadster ) We escaped from the dark confines of Cobo Hall onto a decently sunny day and cruised along the river and past the Ren Cen, gunning the Circuit whenever possible. Its a Lotus.
