The EPA rates the fuel economy at 19 city/24 highway/21 combined. To aid in fuel economy the Palisade has a start-stop feature where the engine shuts off when coming to a stop and restarts automatically. Finished in Moonlight Cloud, which looked black in some light, our tester had an elegant look.

The undetectable and seamless transitions have the Crown Hybrid fuel economy rated at 42 mpg city/41 highway/41 combined, and the more powerful Hybrid Max at 29 city/32 highway/30 combined. The electric power steering was direct, but a bit light when pushing country lane corners in the Platinum Hybrid Max.

The mild hybrid system consists of a 48-volt electrical system that allows the engine to shut off when not needed, increasing fuel economy. Because of this we don’t address issues such as long-term reliability or total cost of ownership.
