UK-based Electric Car Corporation Plc ( ECC ) has officially launched an all-electric version of the Citroën C1, the C1 ev’ie. DENSO Corporation, Ericsson, Intel Corporation, Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT), NTT DOCOMO, INC., and Toyota Motor Corporation have initiated the formation of the Automotive Edge Computing Consortium. The ECC aims to build a cooperative platform for the edge computing industry.

Renesas Electronics Corporation introduced the new RH850/P1x-C Series, a high-end version of the RH850/P1x Series of 32-bit automotive microcontrollers (MCUs). The RH850/P1x-C would be used in conjunction with a Renesas R-Car SoC (system-on-chip) to perform white line detection, parking assist system, or leading vehicle detection results.
