Clean Fleet Report spent a week exploring Southern California in the front-wheel drive XT5 Premium Luxury, which the EPA rates at 19 mpg city/26 highway/21 combined mpg. How does this sound: 100+ MPG in a regular vehicle? And were gratified that General Motors recognizes this study as validation of its decision to evolve to the electrification of transportation. At $3 for a gallon of gas, driving a non-hybrid car costs 8-20 cents/mile (depending on MPG). What Are Plug-In Hybrids?
