It is the third best-selling SUV for Cadillac, coming in behind the larger Escalade and XT5, but ahead of the XT6 and Lyriq EV. Cadillac has converted the torque from foot-pounds into newton-meters, which is the torque measurement used in many countries around the world, but not the U.S. All of them outsell the Cadillac luxury sedans.

From front-to-rear the Lyriq’s lighting accentuates the beautiful design. When approaching and departing the Lyriq, the digital key launches a choreographed LED lighting sequence, from front to rear, inside and out, that plays off the brushed aluminum and gloss black trim. It’s a truck, specifically the Escalade SUV, the gussied-up, very successful ultra-luxury version of the Chevy Suburban. Almost 19 feet long, almost 3 tons in curb weight, the Escalade ESV (most often in black) is a staple of affluent driveways and high-end car services across the country. Limiting factor: battery supply.

Think has even shown a convertible prototype. Re performance- with proper engineering, a small light car can protect a driver well. Since most families have at least two cars now, I foresee an electric commuter car and an ICE road trip car (you know, an Escalade or Dodge Ram crew cab ;o) in the future.
