The REVA NXR. It’s not just Mum who has gone to Iceland… it is electric cars too, with the REVA Electric Car Company signing an agreement with Northern Lights Energy (NLE) to jointly develop the market in Iceland. The NXR is a three-door, four-seat family hatchback design for urban driving.

It was braving through inheriting the loss-making Reva while Tata Motors just had a few R&D concepts of the Vista and Nano electric. Moreover, Tata AutoComp developed their battery management software with TCS and also built a three-in-one — a PDU, DC-DC converter and onboard charger, all housed in one unit.

Fisker is also working on a hardtop convertible, planned to be introduced in 2011, and the Fisker Karma Sunset which was named North American Production Preview Vehicle of the Year. Thanks to a $528million Federal loan the company will also begin work on ‘Project NINA’ to design and assemble a second-generation saloon car for sale in 2012.

What horrified me was the width of the Lambo convertible. I have used a rotary switch in the Reva, a stick shift in the Mahindra e2o, a rotating knob in the Tata Nexon EV - and now the button selector in the I- PACE. I found the I-PACE design to be the best. Thanks to the signals on the road, I won the race.
