He’s dealing with the Port of Long Beach which along with its neighbor the Port of Los Angeles are the largest stationary source of air pollution in Southern California. He initiated a program two years ago to cut that pollution by 50% and it has a lot to do with regulating both the trucks and the ships that come into the port.
