But its monumentally less pollution , even on the national (half-coal) grid. Fuel cell cars should be plug-in hybrids so that the fuel cell is used only for extended range, and the fuel cell stack and hydrogen storage can be smaller. Dont PHEVs just shift pollution from gasoline cars to power plants? What about battery safety?
