Last week I was mostly on vacation, so I didn't get a chance to really charge the car at full amperage many times. This week was back to work, so I was able to give the charge detector a more reasonable test. This weekend is the biggest day of the year for our local EV club. I had a little bit of a scare today at work.

Price tag: about $25,000, made from 95% recyclable materials with a top speed of 65 miles per hour and range of 110 miles per charge. Kulongoski, Oregon as the electric-car manufacturer may be eyeing the “green” city of Portland. The Renault-Nissan Alliance is building fleet charging stations in Portland and Phoenix.

Not to be outdone, on Tuesday the Norwegian electric car startup, Think, was in Portland being wooed by the state as one of 8 potential places to site their first car manufacturing facility in the United States. The big problems now is how to create a battery that can charge rapidly and infrastructure to charge them.
