Volvo Buses has begun trials of its hybrid drive buses in South Brazil and Mexico. In May this year, Volvo Buses launched serial production of its hybrid buses, the Volvo 7700 Hybrid and the double-decker Volvo B5L Hybrid. At the Marrakech Climate Change Conference (COP22), eight nations—Canada, China, France, Japan, Norway, Sweden, the United Kingdom and the US— signed a Government Fleet Declaration , pledging to increase the share of electric vehicles in their government fleets and calling for other governments to join them.
