Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) will be showing a total of 15 vehicles at the upcoming 42 nd Tokyo Motor Show, 30 November through 11 December. MMC has targeted top-of-class fuel efficiency (Japan market version) of 30 km per liter (70.6 mpg US, 3.33 MIVEC 4-cylinder unit with generating capacity of 70 kW.

In addition, GAC Group has joint ventures with global automakers such as Toyota, Honda, Fiat-Chrysler, Mitsubishi and Hino for vehicle production. The Trumpchi 4x4 hybrid is the first mass-produced full hybrid sedan with all-wheel-drive feature in China, independently developed by GAC Engineering based on its mid-high class vehicle platform.

In addition to a recent electric car deal with NISSAN Motors ( NSANY ), Portland General Electric, the Oregon state governor and GE have also announced a joint venture with Mitsubishi Motors ( MMTOF.PK ) to develop and sell the Miev electric car with 85 mile range by 2011. The transplant car companies….aren’t aren’t there yet.
