You guys go ahead and buy your 40 mile per charge GM golf cart. they didnt consider the fact that China was a nation with a appetite that would have well made the EV1 a profitable venture even if the cars tragically lasted longer, and cost less to build and maintain. Oh, and it looks wayyyyy cooler than the Volt.
