The Chevrolet Volt has been named Eco Car of the Year by Diesel Car magazine. Despite using petrol generators, the models beat the diesel hybrid Citroen DS5 into second place for the prize. The range-extended model won the prize along with sister-model, the Vauxhall Ampera.
