Staying true to my nature, I decided to see how much better things have become by loading some 20 solar panels into my Mach-E and heading off to south of King City, CA, to deliver them to their next owner. But I could squeeze my car in between them and hook up. a gallon, so that’s cost equivalent of 57 mpg. She’s right.

Fuel economy numbers have not been announced, but the same gasoline-hybrid power plant in the Toyota Tundra pickup gets 20 mpg city/24 highway/22 combined. Built in San Antonio, Texas, at the same assembly plant as the all-new 2022 Tundra pickup, Toyota will be getting the third-generation Sequoia to dealers in late summer 2022.

Ford plans to lead in vehicle electrification by committing $22 billion to electrifying its cars, crossovers, SUVs and trucks through 2025. This works if your power comes from the utility company or solar panels, which can be provided through a program Ford has with SunRun. If so, then the future looks bright in many ways.
