GM says it is already looking ahead to the next generation of Volt-based vehicles — it unveiled the Cadillac Converj concept in January — and says costs will come down as the technology spreads to more models. "The Volt is a case study. And that means it doesnt necessarily pay the rent. It actually consumes rent when its launched."
