General Motors and its joint ventures sold more than 4 million vehicles in China for the first time in 2017. Retail sales totaled 4,040,789 units, which was up 4.4% China was GM’s largest retail market for the sixth consecutive year. The company benefited from record domestic sales by the Cadillac, Buick and Baojun brands.

Sales start early in 2014 in North America, expanding to global markets including China and Europe.

General Motors and its joint ventures in China delivered a March record of 345,448 vehicles, an increase of 16% from a year earlier. The Buick, Cadillac and Baojun brands all reached new sales highs for March. For the 13 th consecutive month, Cadillac posted double-digit growth, with sales surging 63%.

GM has announced plans for public sales in 2010, and almost every carmaker now says it will sell PHEVs or highway-speed battery electric vehicles (BEVs) sometime after 2010. In late 2008, BYD started selling the first production PHEV in China. Plans Cadillac Converj, Opel Ampera, other versions. Plans Saturn Vue PHEV-10.
