All other powertrains lost volume YoY, with petrol-only vehicles at their 2nd lowest volume of the modern era (just 112 units), and 3rd lowest share ever, just 1.25% of the auto market. In my view, the remaining few percent will still depend on new BEVs in the affordable sub-compact class (BYD Seagull anyone?), to 7,471 units.

In late 2008, BYD started selling the first production PHEV in China. Several after-market companies have done PHEV conversions of the Ford Escape hybrid and one has done a retrofit of the F-150 pickup -- see Where PHEVs Are and ICE-Conversions.) BYD also developed the motors and software for the system.

BYD , for examples, says their 60 mile range-extended vehicle can add 30 miles of range in ten minutes. Third, I dont understand why people feel it available in message chatting to speak in a manner they would doubtless not use in personal conversation. No single vehicle does it all even in todays petrol world.
