Conversions are mostly for the Prius, with a few for the Ford Escape/Mercury Mariner hybrid SUVs. At these prices, people are buying the "environmental feature" -- they want to be among the first owners of the worlds cleanest extended-range vehicles. Conversions are limited to certain vehicle types.

In late 2008, BYD started selling the first production PHEV in China. Several after-market companies have done PHEV conversions of the Ford Escape hybrid and one has done a retrofit of the F-150 pickup -- see Where PHEVs Are and ICE-Conversions.) BYD also developed the motors and software for the system.

BYD , for examples, says their 60 mile range-extended vehicle can add 30 miles of range in ten minutes. Third, I dont understand why people feel it available in message chatting to speak in a manner they would doubtless not use in personal conversation. One of the main drawbacks to charge stations is speed.
