Li-Ion batteries for strong hybrids are in short supply. All four produce prismatic cells with nickel-based cathodes, a design favored by the HEV industry leaders Toyota, Ford, and Honda. Tesla is positioned to hold second place and BMW, third place. The EV market is smaller than projected by market leader Nissan-Renault.
