With HVO the CO 2 footprint of the mtu systems for dynamic uninterruptible power supply (DUPS) can be reduced by up to 90% (depending on the fuel’s manufacturing process and feedstock), particulate emissions by up to 80% and nitrogen oxide emissions by up to eight percent compared to fossil diesel. This happens without any interruption.

UK-based Connected Energy and Groupe Renault have installed two quick-charge stations based on Connected Energy’s E-STOR energy storage technology on highways in Belgium and Germany. The E-STOR technology developed by Connected Energy uses second-life batteries from Renault electric vehicles.

When Volvo Buses participates in the Busworld exhibition in Kortrijk, Belgium in October, the company will unveil the Volvo 7900 Electric—Volvo’s first series-produced electric bus under its own brand. The electric model is around 80% more energy-efficient than a conventional diesel bus.
