Dearman’s liquid nitrogen-powered engine ( earlier post ) is zero emission. The technology will replace diesel-powered secondary engines used to power (TRUs), which are used to keep food cold on the road. Because the Dearman TRU is powered by expansion rather than internal combustion, it is also markedly quieter than a diesel unit.

Furthermore, the ICE can be downsized using a larger but slower turbo to retain power requirement.
