The energy for this comes from the modular batteries with 640 kWh of installed capacity. Here, MAN relies on the fully developed lithium-ion (NMC) battery cell technology from the Volkswagen Group’s modular kit. The batteries have an intelligent temperature management system that has been optimized for use in city buses.

This was originally just a human powered vehicle made in Belgium, but the owner added an electric motor to power the rear third wheel to get up the hills in Portland (of which there aren't many in Belgium). They run on 48 volts and the company sells them as a kit for about $3500.

Other changes, compared to the concept that was first revealed back in 2021, include a larger charge indicator embedded within the bonnet that includes a ‘5’ logo that fills to communicate how full the battery is or how much longer it needs to charge. A smaller, lighter 40kWh battery pack will also be offered on the cheapest models.
