The Chevy Volt , a plug-in electric car, will have the battery power to take most American drivers to and from work every day without using any gasoline at all. The BYD F3DM will land in showrooms at the end of the month. Parent company BYD Co.—it BYD plans to sell cars in Europe and the US by 2010.

Toyota Prius modders have already been adding larger batteries so the vehicle can run on battery power. Way to go morons.
