Add one more battery-electric vehicle to the list of electric cars for sale in California (if not the rest of the U.S.). The 2014 Chevrolet Spark EV is now available for purchase or lease at several dealerships in northern and southern California, as well as a few in Oregon.

Chevrolet dealers in all 50 states in the US are now taking orders for the 2012 Chevrolet Volt. The lower base price is possible in part because of a wider range of options and configurations that come with the expansion of Volt production for sale nationally, GM said. Due to what it termed “ strong public interest ” in the Chevrolet Volt, General Motors will increase US production capacity of the Volt by 50%, from 30,000 units to 45,000 units, in 2012. The announcement came as US President Barack Obama toured the Detroit-Hamtramck facility, where the Volt is being produced now for sale later this year.

Out of 82 BEVs and PHEVs that are either currently available for sale in the US, or expected to be so by the end of 2022, 67 of them, or 81.7%, have a base manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) higher than $39,999, according to new analysis from EVAdoption. Fifteen or 18.3% have a base MSRP below $40,000 and 31 or 37.8%

When looking at only Q2-Q4 sales, the Mach-E outsold the ID.4 For the year the Mach-E outsold the ID.4 4 by 10,398 units. 4 by an average of 1,419 units per quarter.
